Mark's Gospel is the shortest and most action-packed of the four gospels. It sets out to prove that the Lord Jesus Christ was God's perfect Servant. As the first verse states, it presents to us 'the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.' The marginal notes explains words not in current use or that have changed their menaing, and points out themes that appear throughout the gospel.
